In the course of placing an order with us we must gather information to assure that your books are sent to you and that we are properly paid. We store your contact information and may communicate with you concerning the books you purchased from us. We protect the security of your information during transmission by using Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) software, which encrypts information you input. We do not give, share, sell or transfer your personal information to a third party for any purpose.
Only the last four digits of your credit card information are used when confirming an order. Of course, we transmit the entire credit card number to the appropriate credit card company during order processing. Credit card information used to place an order is NOT retained by A & A Publishers therefore each time you order with us you will have to submit your number again.
We use a fulfillment center that ships books for us. We obviously must give them only your shipping information in order to make sure you receive your books. They keep this information only for the purpose of completing your current order and will not contact you nor retain your information for any other purpose.
If your books were damaged in transit, you must notify us within fifteen days after the shipment arrives at your address. We will replace any damaged books at no cost to you for the books or for the shipping.
If at any time you find a book with defective printing or binding notify us immediately after discovering the defect. We will replace any defective books at no cost to you for the books or for the shipping.
We do not offer refunds for any books. On this web site you are able to view the entire texts of the English version of Hard Choices for Loving People and Light in the Shadows. If you would like to preview a printed and bound copy of any of our books before making a purchase, contact us and we will be glad to send you a free sample.
From the time we receive an order it can take up to eight business days for the books to be shipped from our shipping center. Most often it is sooner.
Once the books have left our shipping center, the number of days before they actually arrive at their destination can vary depending on distance, delivery option you chose and other factors beyond our control such as inclement weather or labor stoppages. Generally, UPS shipments to the eastern part of the US arrive in three business days or less and in the west, four to five days. USPS Priority Mail shipments usually are delivered in two to three business days throughout the US. USPS Media Mail can take up to ten business days.
Therefore, customers in the eastern US using UPS should expect to receive your books in five to nine business days after we receive your order. To those on the west coast expect a delivery ten to fifteen business days after we receive the order.
